NRC Job Vacancy 2022

Job Purpose: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for supporting data collection and the implementation/use of quality checklists (WASH, Food security and Livelihoods, Education, Shelter, Information Counselling and Legal Assistance, Camp management) at activity level. The position also serves as a supervisor for enumerators when needed. The incumbent will provide support in analysing raw data from assessments, quality checklists, reporting and providing direct support to the M&E  Team Lead. He will support the M&E Team Lead and the Area Manager in improving programming and organizational learning for the Area Office South.

Generic responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines and standards
  • Ensure compliance with Communication with communities and M&E strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines and standards
  • Specific technical responsibility for implementation of information management activities in relation to NRC programmes
  • Provision specific technical support and capacity building towards project staff
  • Assess, promote and document ideas for technical improvement and further beneficiary informations management options
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
  • Promote the rights of displacement affected population in line with the communication with communities, advocacy strategy

Qualification:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in computer science or information management, statistics or IT related fields.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in English is essential

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of previous job experience relevant to the function or in digital communication and data management, statistics, analysis and information technology.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Power Bi skills and experience of working with MS Access is required. Previous experience of working with SPSS, STATA, and R is desirable.
  • Candidates with skills in basic programming knowledge of more than one of the following language: C#, Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby have an added advantage.
  • A cursory knowledge of telephony and mobile communications infrastructure and management and can articulate needs and requirements for telephony relevant to digital communication environments
  • Ability to develop, organise and design short informational documents and training materials relevant to the tools in use
  • Good understanding of data and information needs for programme management and decision-making.
  • Strong data interpretation skills, report writing, and data presentation

NRC Job Vacancy 2022

Responsibilities:

  • Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection as needed;
  • Support data management in close collaboration with core competencies’ data assistants and the development of clear information flows between program and M&E staff, as needed;
  • Ensure that monitoring data are reported in a timely manner to the technical M&E officer for quality checks and submission to the Area Manager and relevant program staff;
  • Support the targeting and the registration of beneficiaries as needed;
  • Supervise distributions in collaboration with program staff;
  • Support post-distribution monitoring and related activities
  • And any other duty that may be required.

We are looking for:

  • An individual with a proven record of accomplishment of developing effective data collection methodology and tools.
  • Experience in data management and analysis with close collaboration with program teams
  • Good working knowledge of data monitoring and timely reporting of data
  • An individual with excellent knowledge and experience of using ArcGIS, Stata, Nvivo, CAPI systems (Kobo/ODK/CSpro), data visualization software in data analysis.
  • Someone who is conversant with qualitative and qualitative data management methods and approaches.
  • An approachable, trustworthy, and high integrity individual who will ensure high data integrity.
  • Highly organized in planning and delivering results
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and work with various diverse program teams.
