How can you make a difference: Under the guidance of the UNICEF Representative, the incumbent will serve as Chief of Field Office, Lagos and support the Representative with UNICEF’s work with Generation Unlimited, B4R, and U Report with the Government, Private Sector and other partners to enhance the survival, protection, development, and participation of children and women in the relevant States’ development efforts.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Representation
- Programme planning and development
- Programme management
- Team Leadership
- Programme monitoring/evaluation
- Governance and Office management
- Partnership, Coordination, and Collaboration
- Support Generation Unlimited, U Report and Private Sector Partnerships
- Rights-Based and Results-Based Programme Management Approach
Qualification:
- An Advanced university (Master’s and above) degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum ten years of relevant professional work experience.
- Fluency in English and another UN language (IP). Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station, an asset.
- Developing country work experience.
- Experience in heading a field/zonal office, an advantage
