NRC Job Vacancy 2022
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of the officer position is day to day implementation of the CC Project. Use actions words such as ensure, implement or assist for the position relevant responsibilities.
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Implement delegated CC project portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement
- Ensure that procurement, development and distribution of materials and equipment are timely and accordance with the procedures
- Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities
- Investigate and facilitate introduction of new technology, method and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Bsc in Civil, Agricultural, Irrigation Engineering with major in Water and Irrigation or equivalent
- Work experience from the Northeast of Nigeria context.
- Solid experience and minimum 2 years work experience working as Irrigation Engineer developing or rehabilitation of small holder irrigation schemes
- Proven experience in irrigation development (preferable small holder irrigation schemes)
- Experience in beneficiary selection and beneficiary trainings on irrigation equipment maintenance.
- Experience from working in livelihoods and food security humanitarian/recovery context
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision
- Highest standard of ethics and integrity
- Ability to work in insecure environments
- Communicating with respects
