Action Against Hunger Job Vacancy 2022
Summary of Position: The Consortium Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the ECHO project in compliance with technical approach and donor grant requirements and Action Against Hunger policy S/he is the overall responsible for the delivery of commitments and reporting to donors. In addition, s/he will work closely with the Project Managers of consortium partners to ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities across the locations. Working closely with the Consortium partner staff, the consortium lead with ensure effective coordination of consortium projects. This will include being responsible of overall performance and results of the projects including management and quality oversight of the programs technical, operational, financial and administrative activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Masters Degree (or higher) in Public health, health systems Management, international development, health policy or an advanced degree in a related field.
- 10 years of experience managing and leading technical and administrative teams for complex health projects in developing countries, preferably in East Africa.
- Significant expertise in one of the following technical areas: systems strengthening, health financing, health governance and leadership, human resources for health, health information system.
- Proven capacity to start up and close out projects, and effectively manage staff and project funds.
- Senior-level expertise in any one or more of the following technical areas: systems strengthening; reproductive health; and/or maternal, newborn and child health.
- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with client and government counterparts and partners, at all levels.
- Ability to develop and lead towards a shared vision among partners and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent management, communication (oral presentation and written), organizational skills; flexibility and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge and experience of working in a consortium model.
- A self-starter who can work independently under pressure and can manage competing priorities without direct supervision.
- Previous experience in South Sudan is desirable.
