Action Against Hunger Job Vacancy 2022
Purpose: The Research Coordinator will be responsible for managing all research projects. The Research Coordinator is the main contact person for all studies undertaken by Action Against Hunger South Sudan. Support the technical design and implementation of field-level activities as guided by Study Protocols, Field Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures in close collaboration with the PI and Head of Departments.
Eligibility Criteria:
- At least a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a major such as nutrition/health or social science.
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-sectoral research projects, including experience in research related to Gender-based Violence and 2 years experience in South Sudan preferable.
- Experience organizing and participating in field-level data collection as part of a research study or program monitoring and evaluation.
- Excellent research skills, knowledge of quantitative data collection and analysis methods, strong experience ensuring data quality.
- Experience working in and/or overseeing the implementation of nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific programming.
- Training in and proven knowledge around nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific programming in low-income countries;
- Microsoft office suite with appropriate research skills including, for example, use of statistical packages (Experience with mobile data collection tools (e.g. Kobo) and data analysis software (e.g., Stata) (preferred but not required).
- Excellent demonstrated organizational and managerial ability, prior experience managing a diverse team required.
- Ability to interact with donor agencies, research and field partners, other international, national and local actors in country.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
