IBTCI Job Vacancy 2021
Overview: IBTCI is currently seeking a qualified Communications Manager for an upcoming Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) project in South Sudan, funded by USAID. This a full time, key position based in Juba, South Sudan. This project will provide a range of monitoring and evaluation technical assistance to USAID South Sudan’s portfolio of programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications roles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to work with all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and independently.
- Experience in creating high-quality reports and presentations required.
- Oral and written fluency in English required.
- Excellent skills and demonstrated experience in development of communications products, preferably in international development.
- Demonstrated experience in developing or revising a communications strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, specifically in the creation of info graphics.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-country and multi-cultural setting as demonstrated by past experience.
- Experience supporting development programming in conflict contexts preferred.
- Ability and willingness to be mobile and agile at a moment’s notice in case of an emergency required.
- Ability and willingness to work for extended periods in insecure and diverse environments.
- Ability and willingness to safely enter and exit a larger, armored SUV vehicle that is several feet off the ground without assistance, while wearing body armor and/or a heavy flak jacket.
- In case of an emergency situation, must be able and willing to “duck and seek cover”, which may require the individual to exit the vehicle, unaided, and hurriedly seek shelter elsewhere, as needed, in the event of a roadside emergency.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, public administration, political science, international relations, conflict resolution and peace building or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
