MSI Job Vacancy 2021
Position Summary: The Language consultants will serve as translators for documents used in the data collection of the household survey. Translation responsibilities will also include serving as language subject-matter expert for any questions from MESP or the USAID South Sudan Mission. The consultancy is 10 working days in February.
Responsibilities:
- Translate household survey questionnaire from English to designated language
- The Classical Arabic translator will also translate the questionnaire administration manual from English
- Serve as a language expert for any questions from MESP team or USAID South Sudan Mission
Eligibility criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field is required; Master’s degree in language or relevant field is preferred
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the humanitarian or international development sectors
- Experience with technical documents for household surveys
- Experience with translation from English to one of the following nine languages: Classical Arabic, Didinga, Dinka, Jie, Juba Arabic, Murle, Ngalam, Nuer, and Ayuak is required
