UNDP Job Vacancy 2022

Institutional Arrangement: Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief Technical Advisor and Programme Manager for Access to Justice, Security and Human Rights, the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will focus on enhancing the effectiveness of UNDP’s Access to Justice, Security and Human Rights programming in South Sudan through the development and implementation of robust monitoring and evaluation systems, policies and strategies; management of risk through the design and implementation of a risk management mechanism; quality assurance of project implementation; contribution to reporting requirements; and generation of key lessons learned and best practices and project achievements for internal and external distribution.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Statistics, Social Sciences or Public Administration with two (2) years and bachelor’s degree with four (4) years’ experience.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in international development programming, with a focus on reporting, monitoring and evaluation;
  • High-level planning, facilitation, communication and capacity development skills with a demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and skills in a complex institutional environment;
  • Experience of working in conflict/post-conflict settings;
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with and reporting on the work of diverse teams and financial resources at international level;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Culturally and socially sensitive; Ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels;
  • Familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment;
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.

Language:

  • Excellent written and spoken English
