Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in political science, international relations, social science, economics, law, public administration, or a related field or
- Bachelor’s degree in combination with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- A minimum of 10 years (with Masters) or 12 years (with Bachelors) of progressively responsible experience at the international level in managing and/or providing management advisory services for the design, monitoring and evaluation of Trust Funds or large scale multi-dimensional programmes including results-based management is required.
- Solid experience in project design, formulation, and management and demonstrated results in managing teams, leading inter-agency initiatives, as well as establishing strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience working with multilateral agencies and bi-lateral aid organizations and coordinating with a wide variety of actors is required.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills is essential.
- Experience/understanding of conflict analysis and conflict sensitive approach, basic knowledge and understanding of gender analysis required.
- South Sudan experience an asset.
- As a minimum the successful candidate must demonstrate experience within conflict and/or post-conflict settings.
- Familiarity with the UN system, requirements, procedures and rules and regulations and knowledge of UN inter-agency pooled financing instruments is an asset.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
