Position Purpose
- Update and implement the Fund’s communications strategy with targeted messages for both public and private stakeholders
- Create and administer a brand identity that ensures a consistent, cohesive visual representation of the RSRTF on all communications products (digital, print, photography, and audio-visual).
- Support the Fund Steering Committee and project partners to craft messaging aimed at building strategic support and leveraging political buy-in for RSRTF actions.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, or related field is required or
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration lieu of the advanced university degree
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years (Master’s degree) or 4 years (Bachelor’s degree) of progressive experience in public information, public relations, media and communications or related area is required.
- Excellent drafting skills, and experience and proven ability to cater to different audiences and with different messaging, able to work across both internal and external communications and identify and adapt content and messaging for sharing on appropriate channels.
- Experience in writing and content for a range of stakeholder groups, including but not limited to social media channels, websites, external publications, articles, newsletters, project reports, photos, infographics, social media messaging.
- Proficient using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, or other visual design tools.
- Solid experience in processing and editing photos, creating photo and photo stories.
- Prior experience in website and social media management required.
- Capabilities in mapping, and data visualization, desirable.
- Past experience applying donor communication and visibility criteria an asset.
- Fluency in oral and written English
