UNDP Job Vacancy 2022

Institutional Arrangement: Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Chief Technical Advisor and Programme Manager for Rule of Law, or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the Transitional Justices Specialist will perform and provide technical and advisory support in advancing the priorities outlined above and overall guidance on the technical implementation and monitoring of the project.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Masters University Degree in Law, Human Rights, Political Science, Social Sciences or related discipline or bachelor’s Degree with additional 2 years of relevant will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree is desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years (master’s degree) or 7 years (Bachelor’s degree) relevant experience at the national and international levels, in planning, developing, managing and monitoring transitional justice processes;
  • High-level planning, facilitation, communication and capacity development skills with a demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and skills in a complex institutional environment;
  • Experience of working in conflict/post-conflict settings;
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with and reporting on the work of diverse teams and financial resources at international level;
  • Other desired/mandatory required technical knowledge;
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
  • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.

Required Language:

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
