UNDP Job Vacancy 2023

Institutional Arrangement: The UN Physician will work under the overall supervision of the UN Resident Coordinator \ DRR – Operations of UNDP with regards to all administrative matters and the general supervision of the UN Clinic health manager or delegate with regards to technical matters and day to day clinic activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

Master’s degree or equivalent in the areas of Medicine, from an accredited University and currently licensed to practice within home country or other national jurisdiction or;
A Bachelors in relevant related field with 4 years of relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of a master’s degree.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with a Master’s Degree or minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree progressive experience and practice in general medicine in developing countries or countries in conflict, of which at least one year should be in Trauma and Emergency care and two years in Internal Medicine;
Valid certification in Advanced Trauma Life support, Advanced cardiac Life support OR Prehospital trauma life support is required;
Surgical, ICU, aeromedical or anesthetic experience is an advantage;
Experience in Tropical Medicine;
Previous UN medical system/international medical experience is desirable;
Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is expected;
Certification in HIV care OR VCCT is desirable.

Language Requirement:

Written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
