UNICEF Job Vacancy 2023

Scope of Work: The specific purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support to the Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MoGEI) in the review, strengthening and finalization of the Female Teachers Affirmative Action Policy rolled out in March 2016 by MoGEI.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Masters level of education in Gender based policies, Social Sciences, or related field in Education

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in planning and programming related to gender-based issues in a national and international context.
  • Proven expertise in gender-based policy development and implementation, training and capacity development of NGOs and government partners in low resource humanitarian contexts considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the context of Education and Development within the region. Knowledge of the South Sudan context will be an added advantage
  • Prior experience working with Government, UN or similar agency in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Language and communication skills:

  • Excellent oral and written command of English required. The consultant should be at ease in presentations and meetings with different high-level stakeholders and officials.
