UNMISS Job Vacancy 2022
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the Conduct and Discipline Team of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Juba. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The Conduct and Discipline Officer reports to the Chief of the Conduct and Discipline Team.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the field of law, human rights, human resources management, or other related fields. A first-level university degree, with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in positions in the field of conduct and discipline and/or law is required.
- Experience in gathering and analyzing information and problem-solving is required.
- Experience with the application of UN rules and regulations related to conduct and discipline is required.
- Experience in UN peacekeeping missions is desirable.
- Familiarity with administrative, labor, criminal and/or military laws and principles is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required
