UNMISS Job Vacancy 2021
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, with duty station Juba. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The incumbent serves as one of the two Team leaders of the Budget Unit, Finance and Budget Section, and reports directly to the Chief Finance and Budget Section.
Eligibility criteria:
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, accounting, economics or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in in finance, administration, budget, business administration or related area is required.
- Management level experience in supervising and coordinating a team of staff working in budget and/or finance area is required.
- Proficiency in use of Umoja or another Enterprise Resource Planning system is required.
- Several years of experience in budget development and financial administration or resources at the international level is desirable.
- Experience in application of Results Based Management or a similar performance management methodology is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
