Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is in the Human Resources Management Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, Juba. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The incumbent reports to the Chief, Human Resources Management Section through Head of Client Support Unit.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- A high-school or equivalent diploma is required.
Job – Specific Qualification:
- Technical or Vocational Certificate and/or training in human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related field is required.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, travel and visa, administration or related area is required.
- The minimum years of relevant experience are reduced to 5 years for candidates who possess a first level University degree.
- Experience in coordination and planning of activities related to Human Resources, Travel and Shipping is required.
- Experience with the travel module in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) platform, such as UMOJA is required.
- Experience working in a post conflict environment outside of your home country is required.
- Experience in the United Nations system administrative, budgetary, finance and human resources rules and regulations is required.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Experience administering Individual Uniformed Personnel is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the positions advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
