UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023

Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) with duty station Juba, which is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The Security Information Analyst at P-3 level is under the overall command of the Principal Security Adviser (PSA), and reports to the Chief of Operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent such as a senior command and staff qualification) in security management, information management or business administration, political/social science or international relations with focus on security information management. • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience in military, police or security information management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Job – Specific Qualification:

  • A certificate in Security Analysis Process and Practice (SAPP) is required.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in security information analysis with a military, police, state, civilian information management or security management organization is required.
  • At least two years (2) experience and exposure at the international level and in a conflict or post conflict environment is required.
  • Experience in working with Intelligence and Information Units at the national and international level is required.

Languages:

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in writing and speaking English is required.
