UNMISS Job Vacancy 2022
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Juba. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The roles and functions are more related planning and projects Management. The incumbent is responsible for managing day to day operation of the Field Technology Section (FTS) units plus planning and executing long-term strategic projects. The incumbent should have a wide range of technical skills and experience in Telecommunications, IT and GIS. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Telecommunication Officer and to the Chief FTS.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- High school or equivalent diploma is required.
Job – Specific Qualification:
- Certification in ITIL, “Prince2” Project Management (Foundation) and knowledge in implementation of this methodologies is required
- Certification in COBIT is desirable
- Knowledge and experience with Business Relations Management and certification is desirable.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years or (five (5) years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible experience in the field of telecommunications including experience in developing and overseeing large centralized and globally distributed institutional systems is required.
- Experience, in planning, delivering highly complex projects with large teams of diverse technical skills and integrating large scale telecommunication systems is required
- Knowledge and experience in UMOJA budget planning tool or staff performance management and recruitment is required.
- Knowledge and experience in UMOJA demand planning and service requisition definition is desired
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
