WHO Job Vacancy 2021
Purpose of the Position: The mission of WHO’s Health Emergencies Programme (WHE) is to help countries coordinate international action, to prevent, prepare for, detect, rapidly respond to, and recover from outbreaks and emergencies.
Eligibility criteria:
Education
- Essential: An advanced university degree (Master’s level or above) in epidemiology, statistics, database management or public health from an accredited/recognized institute.
- Desirable: First university degree in health-related field. Specialized training in communicable diseases.
Experience
- Essential: At least 7 years of experience in disease surveillance, data management and in quantitative epidemiology and the implementation of public health surveillance, outbreak investigation and response in humanitarian settings. Knowledge of community-based disease surveillance systems. Proven experience in training and facilitation skills. must have at least 5 years of international experience.
- Desirable: Experience in working with UN or INGOs in disease surveillance program in South Sudan.
