WHO Job Vacancy 2022

Purpose of the Post: The purpose of the position is to facilitate the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the strategic response plans as well as the EPR operational plans based on all the donor projects being implemented, support WCOs in outlining the activities and resources (staffing, equipment, funding) required for WHO to perform its role as the lead technical agency in health emergencies.

Eligibility Criteria

Education (Qualifications)

Essential:

  • First university degree in management, Public Health, business or public administration or other relevant social sciences from an accredited/recognized institute.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in either public health, business or public administration.
  • Specialized training in Emergency management, health management, business administration, or humanitarian interventions.
  • Advanced humanitarian security training
  • Relevant training Certificates in Grants management in the context of major donors e.g USG, DFID, ECHO etc.

Experience

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels leading in planning, developing, managing and monitoring technical programmes or operations or financial reporting, in a public health or humanitarian international context at the Country office level.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with and reporting on the work of diverse teams and partners with tested abilities on financial resources and budget management and reporting at international level.
  • Familiarity with web-based grants management systems (GSM)
  • Prior experience managing and reporting on grants from major donors e.g. USAID, ECHO, EU, World Bank, AfDB, DFID, KOICA, and the UN funding streams.

Desirable:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience within the South Sudanese context.
