WHO Job Vacancy 2022
Purpose of the Position: In the context of WHO South Sudan’s COVID-19 Incident Management System (IMS), the incumbent will support the South Sudan Ministry of Health at sub-national level in the coordination, planning, and implementation of relevant preparedness and response measures for COVID-19 and any other emerging diseases. The incumbent represents WHO at the sub-national level and will share all relevant information from the sub-national level back to relevant fora like the Public Health Emergency Operation Centre (PHEOC), Technical Working Groups (TWGs) and the National Steering Committee (NSC).
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Essential: Medical Degree from an accredited/recognized university.
- Desirable: Master’s Degree or post-graduate certificate in public health, tropical medicine, or epidemiology
Experience:
- Essential: At least 2 years’ experience in clinical practice
- Desirable: Experience in public health, disease outbreak response, mobile medical teams. Experience working with UN or INGOs in disease surveillance program in South Sudan.
Other Skills: (e.g. IT)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
