World Vision Job Vacancy 2021
Purpose Of The Position: The Project Manager will lead the implementation of ECHO -DG Education grant Upper Nile state by contributing to achieving equitable access and quality education planning, implementing and monitoring the Education Quality Improvement Program activities through approaches that improve enrolment, retention, completion, literacy, numeracy and life skills. The position will support direct project activity implementation and roll out of best practices and models in a manner that promotes ownership and sustainability. The role will also act as a consortium lead with other education partners in addition to budget management, procurement, design and implementation of field-level realities and World Vision’s education models being adapted and used in South Sudan context. The position will leverage World Vision’s present education programming and footprint to new opportunities with ECHO in the field of education child protection and other sectors in Upper Nile.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree. A Masters degree in Education will be an added advantage in addition to a related field applicable to developing country.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive work experience in humanitarian response, mainly on education in emergencies and protection in an international humanitarian emergencies or fragile country contexts.
- Proven multi-partner management skills, especially to engage at project with local and international partners especially in a fragile context.
- Evidence of high level written and spoken English language abilities.
- Prior experience of working in South Sudan is an added advantage.
- Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
- Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
