Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the Aviation Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), based in Bentiu. The incumbent reports directly to an Air Operations Officer/Assistant in Bentiu.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Job – Specific Qualification:
- Certificate in Safety and quality Management is desirable.
- Technical or vocational certificate in Air Transport is desirable.
- Certificate in Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher is desirable.
- Relevant training in Air Traffic Control is desirable
Work Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in air transportation operations or related fields is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position advertised, Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
