OHCHR Job Vacancy 2022
Org. Setting and Reporting: This temporary position is located in the Field Operations and Technical Cooperation Division (FOTCD) in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), based in Entebbe, Uganda. The incumbent will report to the Coordinator of the Commission of Human Rights Experts (CHRE) on Ethiopia.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- An advanced university degree in translation, interpretation, languages, or a related field. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in translation and/or interpretation, including as part of academic research work, is required;
- One year of work experience in these fields within the United Nations Common Systems or regional organizations is desirable;
- Experience in providing translation or interpretation to human rights investigations or on human rights-related subjects is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English and Amharic is required.
