GGGI Job Vacancy 2021
Job Purpose: The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) will co-lead the implementation of the above-mentioned KOICA funded Project titled “Strengthening Solid Waste and Fecal Sludge Management Capacity of the GKMA” with support and guidance from the Uganda Country Representative. The team exists of 5 full time staff members, several firms, as well as internal (GGGI) and external part-time experts and consultants to ensure timely and high-quality delivery within the assigned budget.
Eligibility Criteria:
- An advanced degree (Masters) in the field of International Relations, Business Administration, Project, Public Administration, Development Economics, Environmental Management or related fields.
- First Level University Degree (Bachelor degree) or a more technical background specifically in the field of Waste Management or Water and Sanitation, or a comparable relevant field may be considered in lieu of a post graduate degree)
- Preferably 7-10 years of relevant project management experience in developing countries at senior levels (e.g. leading projects)
- Experience in East Africa, or specifically Uganda is an advantage.
- Experience with the management of KOICA funded projects or similar is an advantage.
- Experience in one of the key technical sectors, Solid Waste Management or Fecal Slude Management is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Korean languages (speaking, reading and writing) is required and non-negotiable
