IDLO Job Vacancy 2023

Key Result Expected:

  • Ensure that internal procedures and guidelines are observed, recommending corrective action and consulting the appropriate department about potential compliance issues. Monitor compliance with Programme contracts and subcontracts;
  • In collaboration with relevant IDLO Departments, support the evaluation of Health Law Programmes;
  • Manage the coordination of work and information between IDLO Offices, in particular between Headquarters and the Uganda Country Office;
  • Support the development of implementation plans by means of standardized Programme cycle management tools, logic models and frameworks, work plans, and others;
  • In collaboration with the Health Law Team and relevant HQ Departments, coordinate and monitor the local implementing partners’ daily work and programme implementation issues, including revisions to projects design, work plans, and reports, making recommendations for timely and optimal course corrections.
  • Be responsible for the design of implementation plans by means of standardized Programme cycle management tools, logic models and frameworks, work plans, monitoring reports, and others; and
  • Collaborate with country staff and local partners, ensuring that perspectives and expectations are shared in the implementation of the Health Law Programmes and gathering support in their implementation.
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Finance Unit to build accurate financial forecasts, including reviewing financial reports and identifying in advance areas of over-or under-spending, and flagging any urgent budgetary issues to the supervisor/budget holder.

Qualification:

  • Advanced university degree in international development, law, public administration, business administration, public policy, or other relevant social sciences is required.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within an international organization, are required;
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Fluent oral and writing skills in English are required; and
  • Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
