WFP Job Vacancy 2022
Job Purpose: To provide technical support to the Chief of the Aviation Safety Unit to ensure oversight over safety management processes and their effective implementation in the field to enable safe and efficient WFP air transport services.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- First University degree in Aeronautics, Aviation Engineering or Airport
- Management, Air Transport Management, Aviation Quality Assurance or other relevant field. Training and knowledge of aviation is an essential qualification, preferably with airline pilot licence, commercial pilot licence, engineering licence, or air traffic controller’s licence.
Experience:
- Typically, ten (10) years or more of progressively responsible professional postgraduate experience in commercial aviation, out of which at least three or more years of experience is with safety or quality assurance programs.
- Job-related experience in working in the field of commercial aviation. Preferably that at least two years or more closely related to humanitarian air operations or food aid-related work.
- Demonstrated leadership in safety or quality assurance programs.
Language:
- Fluency (level C) in the English language.
- Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (A WFP’s working language
