Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the UNDP country office management and programme team to strengthen programme development and implementation
- Under the guidance of the Senior Economist ormulate and manage strategic policy research on key socioeconomic development issues, in particular poverty reduction, equity, social policy innovation and social welfare, among others;
- Provision of technical advice to national government counterparts and other partners, especially in support of the 2030 Agenda and the introduction of sustainable and inclusive economic policies.
- Advocacy and promotion of UNDP’s mandate and mission
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics.
- Experience: Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Publisher, Excel, STATA, EViews and CGE modelling, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English
