WHO Job Vacancy 2023

Objectives of the Program: The general objectives of the Competitiveness and Financial Management Unit (AFM) are to provide effective budgetary and financial support services to programs such as WHO administration, and to provide assistance in the management of the financial assets of the Organization in the African Region, in accordance with the policies and procedures in force at the organizational level.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Essential: A undergraduate university degree in business administration, financial management, accounting or a related field.
  • Desirable: A diploma of higher studies (Master level) in a relevant field (as indicated above). Professional accreditation is counted, in particular a certification of chartered accountant or chartered accountant.

Experience:

  • Essential: At least two years of experience in program management, finance or budgetisation.
  • Desirable: An experience in implementing digital financial services solutions in countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills and a ability to perform several tasks at once, to identify problems and deal with them proactively. Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to negotiate with various stakeholders and to convince partners, internal and external, on complex and sensitive issues by being tactful and diplomatic. Competences in the organization of training programs targeting public health workers and dealing with operational and financial. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a capacity to establish quality reports for decision-makers. Good skills in analysis.
