Duties and Responsibilities: The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s degree in finance, environmental studies, international relations, business administration or related field. A First degree could be taken in lieu of advanced degree provided the selected candidate has 7 years of relevant experience.
Working experience:
- At least five years of work experience, in the area of business development, facilitation or strategy. Experience in the environment or finance sectors and in international organizations would be a strong advantage.
Skills & knowledge:
- Proven knowledge in the fields of strategic planning, meeting design, meeting facilitation, team building, event documentation. An ability to cope and assist with multiple projects and activities in an organised and timely manner is important; proven conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills; excellent communication (spoken and written) skills are also required. Knowledge of the United Nations and its structures.
Languages:
- English is the working language of UNEP FI. Knowledge of other United Nations languages is an asset.
