GIZ Job Vacancy 2022
Field of activity: As part of the trainee program, you will be employed for your 8-month assignment in the Good Financial Governance project in Zambia .

Depending on the study background and interest, there is the possibility of supporting the project either in the action area of increasing tax revenue or budget planning and implementation. In addition, you can gain initial insights into the specialist advice to increase transparency, accountability and efficiency of the partner systems . Other areas of responsibility include supporting program management, particularly in implementing the program strategy for the new phase.
Your tasks:
- Participation in selected specialist areas (tax estimation and macroeconomic modelling, digitization of tax administration, organizational development, investment planning, fiscal decentralization, debt management) through contribution to strategy development, independent research and data analysis, support of the project’s training offers, organization of workshops, etc.
- Further development and implementation of the impact-oriented monitoring system;
- Participation in reporting;
- Design of cooperation and exchange with co-financing providers.
- The two subsequent practical phases and the tasks there are developed in the course of the EZ trainee program.
Eligibility:
- Studies in political science, economics or related courses
- Necessary professional knowledge in the field of public finance and good governance
- Further knowledge in the field of data analysis / M&E systems and work experience in countries of the Global South would be an advantage
- Fluent language skills in German, English and good written expression
