UNITAR Job Vacancy 2022
Job Responsibilities: The Country Expert will take the lead in the design, development and delivery of the training programme and serve as the subject-matter expert. This includes:
- Conducting a needs assessment to determine the skills and knowledge gaps, local development challenges, and establishing baseline data to measure results.
- Designing the training curriculum based on the needs assessment.
- Developing the content that is contextualized to the realities of the learners and addresses community development challenges.
- Align the content and learning products with the national development priorities, the Sustainable Development Goals, and Agenda 2063.
- Coordinate with UNITAR instructional design and project coordinators to ensure alignment with UNITAR quality assurance guidelines and project timeline.
- Deliver the training online and in-person.
- Training of coaches to support learners and to enhance project sustainability.
- Providing coaching and training support to learners in the programme including review and evaluation of individual projects.
- Ensuring that the training programme meets the learning objectives and impact.
- Support UNITAR’s partnership development in the country.

Qualification & Experience:
- Advanced university degree in one of the following fields: education and training, project management, finance, business administration, economics, international development, entrepreneurship, training and capacity development, community development or any other related field.
- Relevant experience at the national or international level in developing and delivering training programmes. Relevant experience in research and development of projects related to developing course content on entrepreneurship and climate resilient livelihood development for women and youth in agriculture. Work experience with UN or other international/donor agencies is an asset.
- Has a good to excellent understanding of one or several thematic fields related to livelihood development, entrepreneurship, SME development, frontier technologies, finance and trade, coaching, leadership and women empowerment.
