Responsibilities
The HSSE Intern will work under the supervision of the Reporting M&E Officer and will be responsible for assisting with the management of HSSE data collected under the projects implemented in UNOPS Zimbabwe. The HSSE Intern will collect, collate, and organize the HSSE data for reporting purposes and to support the decision-making of the UNOPS Zimbabwe HSSE Team
Management of HSSE Data:
- Review submissions on oneUNOPS, Collect and support the preparation of monthly and quarterly HSSE Reports
- Support the management of oneUNOPS Collect dashboards for projects by assisting in the preparation of site data, data collection forms, locations, and reports
- Review and update HSSE documentation as needed, including HSSE Internal Plans, Risk Assessments, Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
- Review and file HSSE Incident and Near Miss reports
- Collate data and information from HSSE Incidents and Near Miss reports supporting the analysis carried out by the HSSE associates.
- Assist with the filing of required HSSE documentation on the induction and training of workers, contractors, Implementing Partners, UNOPS Personnel, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with the documentation of HSSE risks, issues, lessons learnt and best practices for continuous improvement

Qualification:

Applicants who have graduated from such studies within the recent three years will also be considered eligible for the position.
- While no prior work experience is required, experience in report writing, project management, and management of Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental issues is highly desirable.
- Full working knowledge of English is essential.
