CHAI Job Vacancy 2022

Responsibilities:

  • Develop scientific presentations and witten outputs for purpose of documentation and dissemination to various audiences.
  • Lead on the strategic scheduling, flow,content and quality of learning materials.
  • Write, edit, and review learning products including but not limited to program policy briefs, and technical briefs; conference abstracts and presentations; peer-reviewed journal articles and other publications; conceptualize and develop infographics and other visual aids as needed.
  • Support MOHCC to establish internal systems and processes to capture, store, and easily retrieve generated knowledge products (e.g., best practices, manuals, tools, guidelines, policies, and strategies) for HIV prevention programs.
  • Collaborate with the HIV Prevention team to support the MOHCC in the costing of implementation plan(s), funding gap analyses, and strategic documents related to the HIV prevention program.
  • Support the development and strengthening of M&E systems and processes to collect, analyze, and present data on national program performance against targets, efficiency, and cost.
  • Actively participate in technical working group(s) to generate and utilize evidence for HTS, VMMC, PrEP and other combination prevention interventions to inform program planning and implementation.
  • Explore opportunities beyond CHAI Zimbabwe’s traditional work streams (including but not limited to HIV prevention and HIV testing services); scope the opportunities and support proposal writing and the development of the new work streams.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Economics/Business, Communications, Monitoring and Evaluation, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in writing, documenting and disseminating scientific information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Good analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills, including ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, and competency in statistical packages, such as STATA and SPSS.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including communicating effectively in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to initiate, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, and problem solve in a fast-paced, limited-structure, multicultural environment.
  • Ability to be effective in high-pressure situations, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and set priorities.

Advantages

  • Previous work experience in the Zimbabwean public health system or private sector health enterprises.
  • Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).
  • Experience with research and publication processes.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice when required.
