CHAI Job Vacancy 2023
Responsibilities
- Work with the CHAI country and Global teams and other key partners to adapt and/or develop strategic implementation plans to strengthen HIV and TB related screening and treatment services including cervical cancer in Zimbabwe
- Support program team in areas of procurement, capacity building, demand generation, operational rollout of Cervical Cancer screening and treatment programs and other HIV related services
- Monitor program implementation activities, including but not limited to, field work, working with field staff to review programmatic activities, track implementation, and monitor and review outputs
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key government partners (at the national, provincial and district level), local partners, and other relevant stakeholders to expand access to quality prevention services
- Provide high quality data analysis, synthesize various sources of data into comprehensive and streamlined output highlighting key recommendations
- Work on a costed national scale-up plans for HIV and TB related programs to help government raise funds and ensure good transition of the program after the project
- Map the national HIV and TB related screening and treatment landscape and key national priorities
- Identify evidence and data-based system strengthening opportunities
- Provide technical support in the development and implementation of national program activities, including logical technology selection decisions, algorithms,
- policy guidelines, strategic and operational planning for program implementation
Position in Organization:

- Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographical Information Systems, Biological sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of professional work experience in the public or private sector (candidates with public health experience preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis and visualization software (R, STATA, SPSS, Power BI, Google Studio)
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information and prepare compelling presentations and short reports
- Ability to multi-task, think innovatively, and be effective in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently on complex projects
- Ability to travel extensively (50%) to provinces, districts, and health facilities
- Experience working on malaria projects or any projects of similar nature using tools such as DHIS2 will be an added advantage
Advantages:
- Advanced degree
- Background in health-related field, laboratory science
- Experience in conducting academic or medical research
- Previous experience with CHAI or another similar organization
- Experience working with governments and international partners in Zimbabwe
- Knowledge of cervical cancer
