Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating and overseeing the CLM project.
  2. Managing relationships, partnerships, policy, and advocacy efforts.
  3. Monitoring and evaluating activities of the project under his/her portfolio; and
  4. Facilitating knowledge management and sharing.

Coordinating and overseeing the CLM initiative

  • -Oversee the development of annual work plan and budget and ensure that the proposed activities are aligned with overall project objectives, country programme and strategic plan.
  • – Lead day-to-day decision-making in relation to CLM project activities
  • -Oversee program operations as it relates to the sub-award, including program reporting, administrative, logistics, procurement, budgeting, and oversight of the grant.
  • -Coordinate the execution of the workplan to achieve the targets, including guiding the teams to achieve the targets.
  • -Monitor the implementation of the activities by partners and provide technical guidance to them as required.
  • -Coordinate the preparation of reports in a timely manner.
  • -Coordinate with different teams/partners to develop Letters of Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, Low Value Grants etc. -Support the CLM Project Lead in overseeing relevant team members and consultants and quality control their outputs and performance, where necessary.
  • -Contribute to the preparation of relevant meetings and ensure that recommendations are addressed.

Qualification:

  • Advanced university degree at Master´s level or equivalent in Public Health, Medicine, Economics, Social or Political Sciences or another relevant field related to the responsibilities. A relevant first university degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience will be considered as equivalent for internal candidates only.
  • Further studies in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in policy, planning, managing and implementing community programmes in public health and HIV, and/or economic, corporate and sustainable development, or closely related areas, at national level. Experience managing Donor assistance projects of a similar size and scope and experience managing multi-sectoral projects.
  • Proactive leadership with excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and communities. Prior experience managing Donor assistance projects of a similar size and scope and experience managing multi-sectoral projects.
  • Advanced level of English and of the official language in Zimbabwe.
  • Knowledge of UN official languages.
