UNDP Job Vacancy 2022

Job Purpose: Against this background, the UNDP Zimbabwe Country Office is seeking a Project Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst to support the Project Manager and the PMU to monitor the progress of project implementation and the achievement of results. The Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst reports to the Project Manager. They will also work in liaison with the UNDP colleagues, Regional Technical Advisors, Partners and Government-nominated project focal points.

Scope of Work:

  • In collaboration with the Country Office M&E Specialist and Project Manager, design, develop and implement of M&E plans;
  • Conduct regular monitoring visit to CAWEP project sites and partners;
  • Monitor partner activities and ensure their accordance with planned activities;
  • Support establishment and coordination of effective monitoring mechanisms for the project, including development of evaluation processes and innovative approaches;
  • Collect data from the relevant stakeholders and conduct data analysis to measure the performance(s) against the indicators and targets;
  • Ensure that activities/events needed for monitoring are scheduled and responsibilities assigned;
  • Collect monitoring evidence that the outputs are being produced as intended and efficient.

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with two years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years (Bachelor’s degree) of experience working in monitoring and evaluation of project’s activities;
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and practices;
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills;
  • Experience of working in an international organization would be an asset;
  • Experience in working in the field will be an asset;
  • Experience with the usage of various systems analysis methods and tools would be considered as an advantage;
  • Experience in working with NGO partners and other stakeholders will be an asset.
