Proposed downstream interventions will seek to provide platforms for citizen engagement in democratic processes and facilitate access to skills, knowledge and new technologies for increased income generation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Scope of Work

Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the PSM Specialist of the UNDP PMU and the leadership of NatPharm Management team, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical and project management support to NatPharm on  the following specific activities:

Support to General Operations Management of Natpharm

  • Provide continuous technical support on Human Resources training , including Ccpacity building and mentoring on inventory management  activities; and
  • Provide technical support on development of new SOPs and improvement of  existing  inventory/warehouse   SOPs
  • Support  development, analysis and reconciliation on  monthly inventory   management reports  both  for Natpharm  management   and  supply chain stakeholder  requirements .
  • Suppervise UNDP PSM Analyst  assigned to Natpharm to support  inventory management reporting.

Qualification:

  • Master degree in one of the following (or other relevant field) Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Business.
  • Desirable: certification in project management and/or supply-chain -recognized certifications.

Experience

Proven track record of at least 7 years in successful design and implementation of projects involving warehouse management strengthening and/ or related inventory software deployment.

This includes:

  • demonstrating past experience in deployment /optimization project of a SC system in at least two (2) developing or Global Fund eligible funding countries
  • Proven experience  in deploying electronic inventory management systems, or logistics information systems based on customer specifications to meet business users’ needs

Language

  • Full working knowledge of English is essential.

Required skills and competencies: Proven skills and competencies in project managing optimization, strengthening pharmaceutical supply chain systems.

Desired additional skills and competencies: 

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of cross-cutting issues in health service delivery beyond supply chain management.
  • Expert knowledge of pharmaceutical management in the public-sector setting is essential.
  • Proven experience in configuring and deploying IT systems based on customer specifications to meet business users’ needs.
  • Experience of UN or UNDP procurement policies and procedures highly desirable.
