UNESCO Job Vacancy 2022
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS: The Lab model should be a generic and user-friendly model to be used to Review and Analyse the relevant public policies and Bills, Build consensus within their movements, Produce policy briefs and advocacy materials, and Submit official memorandum with their recommendations to Duty-Bearers and development partners in any Sector.
The model should be a standardized tool that provides Umbrella Bodies and OPDs with the following:
- An easy formula to review policies from the point of view of the CRPD
- Techniques to produce evidence-based policy or legislative briefs that are compelling to the different Duty-Bearers
- Techniques on consensus-building around key and transformative recommendations
- Techniques on effective joint advocacy on disability inclusion
Qualification & Experience:
- Institution/ Organizations must be experienced with working with civil society for policy analysis and advocacy for policy dialogue
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in legislative and policy analysis.
- Experience in Producing policy briefs/advocacy materials for policy dialogue with a diverse audience.
- At least one member of the Institution/Organization should be a person with a disability. This will be an be an added advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of the CRPD
- Previous experience in capacity building of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in effective policy dialogue processes, CRPD compliant budgeting, implementing national disability inclusive policies in developing countries.
- Experience working with UN system is an added advantage
