IRC Job Vacancy 2021
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strengthen the capacity of health workers in the clinic and triage.
- Provide training and / or briefing on infection prevention and control focused on health facility issues.
- Identify situations and problems at the level of health facilities and make proposals for solutions to his\her hierarchy and plan future activities.
- Ensure that clinical management and infection control procedures are applied by health workers in accordance with strict national protocol.
- Support those in charge of the structures with follow-ups, supervision, support and immediate corrective actions for infection prevention and control activities.
- Ensure that the sustainability of IPC activities takes place at the level of the structures and that the personnel of the structure will be able to continue the activities of infection, prevention and control of infections without external support.
- Ensure that records and triage cards are used, collected, analyzed and reported to the hierarchy.
- Monitor the supply of PPE and necessary inputs for health facilities.
- Share the activity report with the direct hierarchy responsible for the corresponding health facilities on a weekly and daily basis.
- Participate in community engagements such as integrated outreaches and community dialogues when called upon.
- Participate in the capacity building of community based health workers and other members (i.e. CME’S) Participate in the drawing and implementation of work plans for the clinic.
- Promote the vision, mission and the values of IRC as expressed in the policies, regulations & guidelines of the Organization.
- Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation.
- Ensure adherence to good practices of infection prevention and control at work.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned to you by your supervisors.
Eligibility criteria:
- Diploma or Certificate in Nursing or Equivalent with relevant experience.
- Should be registered with relevant professional body and must have a valid practicing license
- At least one year working experience in Primary Health Care settings.
- Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating health activities.
- Experience in Information management.
