IOM Job Vacancy 2022

Context: Under the overall supervision of the Regional Director (RD) for Southern Africa, the direct supervision of the Senior Regional Resource Management Officer (SRRMO) and with the technical oversight of the Department of Human Resources (HRM) at Headquarters (HQs) and coordination with Manila Administrative Centre (MAC) and Panama Administrative Centre (PAC), the successful candidate will be responsible for policy guidance, monitoring, compliance, capacity building and supporting the human resources functions of the Country Offices (COs) within Southern Africa region and the Regional Office (RO) in Pretoria.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
  • University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in human resources management and administration;
  • Experience in providing HR advice to directors, managers, and staff members;
  • Working experience in administration and all facets of HR, Talent acquisition, talent management, administration of staff contracts and entitlements, training programs, interpretation and implementation of staff rules and regulations, and development of HR guidelines;
  • Experience in HR Management in the UN Common System or other comparable international organization is desirable;
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.

Skills:

  • Proven strong skills in the analysis of staffing statistical information;
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, and effectively coordinate human resources and administrative activities;
  • High level of computer literacy. Good knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of SAP is a distinct advantage;
  • International HR experience in other UN Agencies is an added advantage.
