GIZ Job Vacancy 2021
In cooperation with the Service Agency Communities in the One World of Engagement Global and on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development the GIZ conducts project FKPW “Experts for municipal partnerships worldwide”. Aim of the project is to support town twinning and municipal partnerships through the deployment of municipal experts and to promote the implementation of partnership projects. Zimbabwe’s capital Harare has been connected to the city of Munich through a city friendship since 1996. The aim is to improve sustainable urban mobility planning by capacity development in the Traffic and Transport Section of Harare Municipality in cooperation with the partner city of Munich.

Qualification:
- University degree in Transportation Engineering and –planning or related, Urban Planning with proven expertise in transport planning.
Experience
- Proven experience in Capacity Development.
- Several years of work experience in the field of transport, mobility and transportation infrastructure planning.
- technical experience in mobility campaigns, infrastructure financing through international financiers as well as data collection, -management, and –visualization is an asset.
- broad intercultural competence, excellent communication- and networking skills as well as frustration tolerance.
- Previous work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, at decentralized administrative level and knowledge of municipal partnerships are an asset.
- Driving License.
- Fluency in English; German is an asset.
