Scope of Work:

The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) Nigeria is seeking the interest of a qualified Teaching at the Right Monitoring and Measurement (M&M) Coordinator

  1. Work with the M&M TaRL Africa Central Team, UNICEF team and government officials to:
  • Design a strong measurement and monitoring strategy which integrates as much as possible into existing systems
  • Develop a strong understanding of government measurement and monitoring systems
  • Develop and pilot measurement and aggregation tools for data collection
  • Collaborate with partners to incorporate measurement and monitoring best practices into the overall design
  1. Support government through the process of assessment and monitoring data collection:
  • Conduct school visits and engage actively with the government during critical data collection periods to troubleshoot as necessary At the moment there are 386 schools across 24 LGAs in BAY states.
  • Communicate and connect with monitoring and mentoring staff within state government regularly through face- to- face meetings, WhatsApp and phone calls
  • Develop electronic assessment tools as at when needed by the state government
  • Coordinate reflection meetings and focus group discussions
  • Collate monitoring information and develop case studies to highlight project impact and learning
  • Support the sharing of programme best practices through formal and informal workshops

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors’ university degree in Education, development studies or its equivalent. Relevant training and experience in a related field will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrable professional experience in implementing Education and learning outcomes improvement interventions.
  • Proven ability to work independently under difficult conditions
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
