Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for all LDM-related activities and provide orientation to local project teams on the implementation of approaches and monitoring guidelines for these activities at the woreda, PHCU, referral facilities and community levels.
• Adapting from existing leadership and management development programs, work with key stakeholders to update the EQHA’s approach to professional development for local district and PHCU leaders, particularly in QA/QI leadership, management, planning, coordination, and integration of institutional resources, and data use. Train and coach pool(s) of facilitators to implement these approaches at facility level.
• Co-design and ensure quality implementation of EQHA approaches for strengthening the capacity of CQI governance and coordination structures at all levels of project implementation.
• Provide tailored and demand-driven TA to woreda, and facility leaders and bodies as needed.
• Ensure promising and proven LDM approaches are implemented, captured, and spread using innovative, practical, and cost-effective modalities and take full advantage of the opportunity for collaborative learning through virtual platforms.
• Travel regularly to the field to provide guidance and support to Project field staff and Woreda Health Office and PHCU leadership teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

• Masters or higher degree in management and leadership, organizational development, social sciences, or development studies.

Experience:

• More than 5 years’ work experience in developing countries with technical responsibility for leadership and management programs in the health sector, especially targeting facility teams
• Proven experience in curriculum design and adult learning methodologies.
