Palladium Group Job Vacancy 2022
Duties and Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities of MS4G’s Agricultural Finance Advisor include, but are not limited to:
- Support the program in reducing access to finance constraints within the fertilizer investment space and engaging with partner financial institutions to facilitate additional capital investment into the sector,
- Develop and execute a pipeline of investor-grade deals in the Agribusiness/Food Security sector, with specific reference to fertilizer finance facilitation,
- Ensure the availability of liquidity and credit upstream and downstream along the fertilizer supply chain to the extent possible to continue fertilizer use by all value-chain actors in the agricultural chain,
- Ensure MS4G meets capital mobilization and business growth targets and provide financial, and investment related technical assistance and guidance to the Palladium MS4G Team, USAID, and their partners through the planning and development of a range capital mobilization mechanisms to enhance the resilience of the Ethiopian fertilizer market and supply chain,
- Design and oversee implementation of various investment financing to leverage over $12 million USAID funding to leverage concessional grant and subcontract funding to unlock financing for fertilizer focused ventures in Ethiopia,
- Design and administer innovative grants, to Financial Institutions (FIs) to blend finance and expand lending,
- Work with the MS4G Team to design interventions, partnerships, and procurements to engage Ethiopian – and as appropriate – international partners in achieve fertilizer programming outcomes,
- In collaboration with our digital economy activity, facilitate new digital/mobile finance solutions for value chain financing needs,
- Engage with partner financial institutions to facilitate additional capital investment into the building the capacity of financial institutions, and developing or improving financial services and expand service provision to underserved entities with respect to inputs and fertilizers,
- Work with Transaction Advisory Service Providers (TASPs) and Business Advisory Service Providers (BASPs) in expanding investment into the fertilizer space to ensure quality and timeliness of pertinent deliverables under the program.

Qualification:
- A Minimum of master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law, or other related field of study.
Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience working in agriculture financing, microfinance development, banking institutions, rural finance, and/or agro insurance in Ethiopia; ideally with some management responsibility; Experience in international development field as an expert for USAID or donor funded projects related to investment, finance, and private sector development is a plus.
- Previous experience/knowledge of USAID and private sector engagement projects, approaches, and policy.
