The NRC has published a job vacancy announcement on 17 December 2021 for qualified Nigeria’s to fill in the vacant post of Education Technical Assistant to be based in Maiduguri, Nigeria.

NRC Job Vacancy 2021

Job Purpose: The purpose of the assistant position is to assist in the day to day implementation of the education programme.

Generic responsibilities:

• Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
• Assist with the implementation of the programme portfolio according to the plan of action
• Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
• Ensure proper filing of documents
• Promote and share ideas for improvement of the programme function
• Lead education campaigns including developing advocacy messages for different events.
• Assist the teachers in their work and report all protection related concerns
• Other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification:

• At least 2 years experience in a similar position with a national or international NGO or a United Nations organization in the northeast of Nigeria
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• Experience in activity planning and budget management
• Experience working with and mobilizing communities
• Fluent English – speaking, reading, writing
• Analytic and computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Formal or non formal teaching experience preferred
