Abt Associates Job Vacancy 2023
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide support to countries to facilitate the successful implementation, monitoring, and reporting on NDCs, NAPs and other relevant climate change frameworks.
- Advise the Sustainable Environment and Blue Economy (SEBE) Directorate on any other technical aspects related to data and analytics and support of the effective and successful implementation of the African Union Climate Change and Resilient Development Strategy and the AU Green Recovery Action Plan.
- Facilitate access to data, analytics, and other knowledge products needed to guide the implementation of NDCs, NAPs, the Africa Climate Change and Resilient Development Strategy and the AU Green Recovery Action Plan.
- Mobilize local expertise and develop the methodology and tools as well as the platform to assemble, store and make available such data and analytical products for use by AUC, AU member states and Regional Economic Communities.
- Ensure regular coordination and communication between AUC-DARBE and actors at country and regional levels for timely and effective execution of all needed decisions and actions under the program.
- As directed by AUC, represent the Directorate at key events and meetings among participating stakeholder groups related to the implementation of the program activities.
- As needed, communicate with Directorate partners to review scope of work and answer any related questions.
- Complete monthly progress reports on program activities.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director for SEBE at the AUC, or the CACCI project management team.
