Chemonics Job Vacancy 2022
Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the COP to provide leadership and management oversight for all technical program support activities.
- Coordinates the technical team for fully and accurate implementation of the activities in order to achieve the activity results and objectives while complying with USAID rules and regulations.
- Ensure program implementation is in accordance with USAID regulations and procedures and the specifications as described in the prime contract and the approved annual implementation plan.
- Lead daily technical implementation, coordination with activity counterparts, and preparation of contractual deliverables.
- Provide strategic technical vision to plan and implement activities and achieve results related to control, risk management, supervision, and transparency.
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including local implementing partners, government officials, and USAID.
- Oversee annual work planning, performance management, and strategic communications.
- Build and maintain a technical bridge between project technical staff that design strategy and achieve activity-wide goals and objectives.
- Ensure that lessons learned from project implementation are across components and are fed into quarterly reports, annual reports, and the annual work plan.
- Review and comment on draft reports and deliverables prepared by technical staff.

Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in water and natural resource management, public administration, public health, business administration, management, business administration, public policy, public finance, economics, finance, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field.
- At least five years of experience in the successful implementation of international development activities; experience working in the WASH sector and experience within the private sector, ideally in Africa, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in the concepts, principles, methods, and techniques of delivering market-based approaches to sanitation required.
- Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded activities preferred.
