GGGI Job Vacancy 2022
Objectives Of The Assignment:
- Identify and update list of potential publics, private, bilateral, and multilateral sources of climate finance to address identified climate adaptation needs,
- Review and strengthen the structure of existing finance-related institutions to support effective, transparent channeling of funds across sectors, according to adaptation priorities identified in the NAP-ETH,
- Finalize the already developed draft three (3) Project Concept Notes (PCNs) for submission to GCF and/or additional financing institutions,
- Identify regulatory gaps and/or barriers to establishing enabling environment to attract climate investment, transactions, and capital. Gaps and/or barriers identified and assessed with mitigation options highlighted,
- Develop resource mobilization roadmap for financing prioritized adaptation actions, including strategies for scaling-up private sector engagement,
- Identified NAP-ETH executing ministries, regional bureaus and woreda offices Strategic objectives for integrating adaptation into their policies and plans proposed and approved by the Inter-Ministerial Committee and put into practice by the executing line sectors and other relevant stakeholders, as necessary,
- Define the core objectives, priorities and responsibilities for regional and woreda-level adaptation integration and planning processes will be synthesized from NAP-ETH implementation and priority actions for the integration process will be developed for at least the following regions: Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR and Somali,
- Preparing an assessment report on outlining available data – quality, relevance, and frequency – with which climate information is generated and carried over the report to NAP-ETH executing agencies for their application in adaptation planning,
- Conduct comprehensive evaluation of the status of NAP-ETH integration regarding planning, implementation, and reporting across regions,
- Provide technical support for the finalizing and publication of policy briefs and knowledge products,
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the NAP GCF Readiness project lead within the scope of the project.
