GIZ Job Vacancy 2023

Your Tasks:

• Advice the African Union Commission (AUC) on strategic measures for climate finance and the development of regional infrastructures on the continent and the implementation of appropriate measures to implement the recommendation.
• Act as a focal person at the AUC to coordinate infrastructure and climate finance policy matters with key stakeholders, especially Members States, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and AUDA-NEPAD.
• Advice to the AUC on the development of policy and regulation recommendations that facilitate the implementation of green, smart and resilient infrastructure projects
• Facilitate the implementation of PIDA funding strategy via the introduction of programmatic instruments and support for the coordination of the stakeholders involved
• Management and execution of consulting and support services for project partners as well as management of experts and consulting companies who work for the project
• Organizing regional forums with AU member states and other relevant stakeholders to increase climate finance capacity
• Development and implementation of training and capacity building initiatives on climate finance for infrastructure
• Supporting the AUC in developing a continental policy for green, smart and resilient infrastructure, in particular the aspects of climate finance.
